Yes, the rooms are OK but need better soundproofing and perhaps a makeover as well. I'd been wanting to try out this casino/hotel for a number of years.
So next time we will choose to stay there, and give that casino a try. It had a better location, close to the town of Temecula, a bigger and better casino, and more impressive looking restaurants with a wider selection. We took a trip to Pechanga casino the next day, and really much preferred that casino over Pala. I felt like their variety of slots wasn't sufficient, and the next day, they were pulling several slots out for maybe repair? One night the 2 roulette tables were just packed, so we couldn't play at them, and we preferred the live tables compared to the type of roulette wheel tables that were machine operated that they had in the casino. So we went back there for dinner one night, and I really enjoyed the enchiladas dinner I ordered, and my husband got the fajitas which he seemed pleased with, as it came sizzling to our table. Also had happy hour at the Mexican restaurant, which was a good deal, and the margaritas were really decent for happy hour, plus the dollar taco's. We ate at the Italian Restaurant, where we both thought the food was just so-so, the service was very good in there though. were very nice, our room was large, comfortable, and a huge wonderful bathroom.
We recently stayed 2 nights at the Pala Casino and Resort Spa just outside San Diego.
